The Smartrack Trident is a revolutionary tracking product that can offer all the benefits of security tracking and also give the benefits of a fleet management tracker. Security tracking:- This product has been designed and manufactured in Britain for SmarTrack and has achieved e-mark and Thatcham TQA104 status. It is ideal for Cars, Vans, HGV, Plant, Classic and high value vehicles. It has internal aerials for enhanced security, an IP56 ABS casing (water resistant ideal for all applications) a self contained battery back up and it even has a 3rd generation GPS aerial which means that it can be fitted to a car with heat reflective windscreen and doesn't require line of site to get GPS reception. Having all of these elements in a self contained unit along with the unit being 12 or 24volt compatible means that the installation rule book has been rewritten! Now it is possible to track all sorts of vehicles, plant and machinery and combine this unit with a super skilled installation company (us!) and we can present a real problem for the would be thieves! The subscription covers your vehicle being monitored by the Smartrack secure operating centre 24hrs, 365 days per year. If your vehicle shows unauthorised movement then they will call you! It also gives you a login to the Utrack website where you can see your vehicle update it's position every 12 hours so you know the tracker that you are paying for is working, rather than paying a subscription for years on end with no idea if it works or not! Fleet tracking:- Fleet tracking can be added to the Trident subscription package by simply paying an additional £50inc per year. For many years customers have been caught in the dilemma where they need the security of a Thatcham approved security tracker that is monitored by a 24hr SOC (secure operating centre) but they also need the vehicle position information and reports that a fleet management tracker provides. So they were either forced to have 1 or the other or pay for both! Product Fleet management / big brother type of tracker.   Make & Model Smartrack Utrack   Unit Price: £348+VAT Fitted to 12V & 24V vehicles.   Subscription: £72+VAT per year The Smartrack Utrack is the exact same bullet proof hardware as used above in the Trident, it is also the same cost although we have priced it as + VAT as many business users would use this product. Some reasons to use the Smartrack Utrack product are:- Ultra reliable bullet proof hardware with all the features described in the Trident description above and it's really competitive on price with a subscription that works out less than 20 pence per day + VAT! Don't let a salesman with a flash suit and a sharpe tongue sign you into something like a 5 year lease for £1 per day! Price comparison:- If you do the numbers on both Options you will see that there is a big difference. Option 1 from the salesman with the sharpe tongue and a flash suit may sell you a tracking product with "great reports" and does "this and that" for only £1 per day and no up front money which works out 365 days at £1 per day x 5 years = £1825+VAT and with tracking companies popping up all over the place and disappearing just as fast I would advise you not to sign a lease for a tracking product as you will have to pay for it for the duration of your lease even if your tracking company goes bust tomorrow! Smartrack Utrack at £348 fitted + 5 years @ £72 per year = £708+VAT which works out £1117 cheaper over 5 years!! It really is a no brainer.
